Pregnancy: The available data on a limited number of exposed pregnancies indicate no adverse effects on pregnancy or on the health of the fetus or new-born child.
Animal studies do not indicate direct or indirect harmful effects with respect to pregnancy, embryonal, fetal and/or postnatal development.
Caution should be exercised when prescribing to pregnant women.
Lactation: No studies concerning acetylcysteine excretion into maternal breast milk are available. Stenac Granules should not be used during breastfeeding, unless clearly necessary.
